MASTER BREWER / CEO

Austin is our trusty brewmaster and resident goofball. He graduated from the Siebel Institute of Technology and World Brewing Academy Master Brewer’s program in 2016. He has a passion to see the world and to bring Oklahoma flare through the ales he will make, influenced by what he has experienced.

As our CEO, he also keeps the business side in check and is constantly brainstorming ways for us to enrich our culture, make our product better, and grow!

ART DIRECTOR / PRESIDENT

As Art Director & President, Lisa Cabin Boy’s in-house designer, heads up marketing, social media, helps coordinates events, part-time HR, and works on the company’s big picture. As a painter, illustrator, and full-time dreamer, Lisa tries to spend a couple days a week creating art in her studio. Usually, it’s for the latest beer label, but occasionally it’s for a personal project! Her work is pluralistic, often combining abstract elements with figurative imagery. When she’s not consumed by the possibilities of lines, colors, and shapes, she is more than happy to talk your ear off over a good beer.

Lisa received her bachelor’s in fine arts from Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, OK in 2011. Since then, Lisa has worked, lived, and shown art in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Chicago,IL; Mito, Japan; and Munich, Germany. She has served on the Brewer’s Association HR Committee since 2022 and is honored to be serving on the Oklahoma Craft Brewer’s Association board in 2023. When she’s not working, she enjoys travel, yoga, hiking, and cooking.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Dustin is new to Tulsa but a veteran of the food and beverage industry. He was born in Philadelphia and made his way to Tulsa by way of Tampa and Denver, sampling many libations along the way.

If he's not in the Taproom serving up a pint and trying to make you laugh you can find him outdoors with his fam, experimenting with fermented foods, or taking a long walk through Skyrim.

SALES DIRECTOR

HEAD BREWER

David is a native Texan and a recent transplant to Oklahoma. David has dabbled in craft beer for just under a decade. If he isn't in the Cabin Boys taproom, you can find him outside with his family, drinking a beer or smoking his pipe...or both. David is not bound by the oxford comma. In an alternate universe, David has led the national team to win the World Cup on two separate occasions. Presently, he is the Cabin Boys Theologian in Residence.

BREWER

Jonathan hails from Oklahoma and has lived in various cities throughout the state. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and put down roots in Tulsa. He fell in love with craft beer in college by creating his own six packs of various Sam Adams styles. Now, he seeks out breweries in every city or town he visits to learn about the wonderful world of craft beer and try different interpretations of each style.

When he’s not working out back in production at the brewery, he’s probably mountain biking, reading, home-brewing, traveling or spending time with his wife, dog and family.

FOUNDER

From the first time he visited the anatomy lab at the OSU medical school, Jeff was hooked on the idea of becoming a doctor.  He completed medical school at OU, then surprised even himself by choosing psychiatry as his specialty. 

A passion outside of practice has been work with his chainsaws. The iconic cabin of Cabin Boys came forth from this passion which some have said borders on insanity.  Jeff points out, though, that none of those who have said this are licensed to make such a diagnosis.

To be a part of the finance and founding of a brewery satisfies his inner drive to do life differently. To do this with family and friends is even sweeter icing on that cake.
