MASTER BREWER / FOUNDER
Austin is our trusty brewmaster who began his journey in the beer world over a humble homebrew pot. When Ryan and Austin decided to take their journey to the next level, Austin got accepted into Siebel Institute of Technology and graduated a Master Brewer of the World Brewing Academy. While Austin is intense about his brewing, he is the largest goofball that loves to be around his friends and family. He has a passion to see the world and to bring Oklahoma flare through the ales he will make, influenced by what he has experienced.
COO / FOUNDER
Hailing from Tulsa, OK, Ryan brings a unique skillset to the Cabin Boys team. His leadership and management skills come from a variety of experiences he had while serving as a radio operator in the United States Marine Corps. Upon leaving the service, Ryan moved on to graduate from the University of Oklahoma where he received his Bachelors, majoring in Entrepreneurship.
He focuses his efforts on daily operations, management, and financial decisions in the company. In other words, he keeps the boat sailing smoothly. Outside of having a passion for beer, Ryan loves to be active in the world, laugh, joke, play, and travel...especially to the beach.
ART DIRECTOR / FOUNDER
As Art Director, Lisa designs all of the label art, heads up marketing, and also coordinates events. As a painter, designer, and full time day-dreamer, Lisa often lives with her head in the clouds. Her work is pluralistic, often combining abstract elements with figurative imagery. When she’s not consumed by the possibilities of lines, colors, and shapes, she is more than happy to talk your ear off over a good beer.
Lisa received her Bachelor in Fine Arts from Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, OK in 2011. Since then Lisa has worked, lived, and shown art in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Chicago, IL; Mito, Japan; and Munich, Germany. When she’s not working, she enjoys travel, rollerskating, cooking, and beer tasting.
CHIEF OF SALES
Hunter is a Tulsa native and a proud graduate from Oklahoma State with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. His passion for craft beer was born the first time he put a Boulevard Tank 7 to his mouth. After he was introduced to the world of beer, he developed a hobby of trying any beer he could. This passion grew to an obsession after his first experience home brewing with Ryan and Austin. Not only is Hunter the Chief of Sales, but he is also an integral part of the CBB marketing team and helps coordinate off site events for the brewery.
When he is not selling beer, he enjoys hunting, fishing, watching movies, and spending time with his family.
Louisiana born and raised, Ben and his wife moved to Tulsa in the Summer of 2017. After graduating from Louisiana Tech University in Music, Ben moved to Boulder, CO and received his Masters in Performance and Pedagogy at University of Colorado. It was in Boulder that Ben fell in love with the world of craft beer. Being in a city and region full of great beer and breweries, he was quickly exposed to a wide variety of beers. He took his passion back home and landed a job at Great Raft Brewing in Shreveport, LA in 2013. It was there that a solid brewing industry foundation was laid. Ben gained wide experience in cellarmanship, canning and bottling, filtration and centrifugation, brewing, cask/real ale, barrel and foeder-aging both clean and sour beers, tap room and event management, distribution handling, QA/QC, recipe development, among a host of other skills. Ben joined the Cabin Boys team in February 2018. As Austin's right hand man in production, he uses his passion, work ethic, creativity, and brewery experience to be an effective member of the CBB team. When Ben is not hanging out with the stainless steel tanks, he likes to spend time with his wife Keri and his dog Wren, is an avid rock climber, is a cocktail and natural wine enthusiast, all around scifi and fantasy nerd, and an accomplished multi-instumentalist musician.
Kayley is a native Tulsan that was drawn to Cabin Boys after learning about their passion for quality, craft beer. After more than 10 years in the service industry (many of which were spent as a full-time Bar Manager); she switched out her cocktail shaker and stirring spoon to absorb more knowledge about the local craft beer movement.
As the Taproom Manager, she believes organizing events around how & why our beer is “Crafted for Community,” is an awesome step to educating people in Tulsa about what makes craft beer different.
Traveling, camping, & yoga are some of her favorite activities outside of the brewery. Skipping out of the country for a few weeks—or months—to go on an international adventure is not outside of her comfort zone.
Catch her behind the bar pouring pints or contact her for your next big event idea!
Greg has a passion to serve and loves being busy. He also enjoys serving within the craft beer realm as well. When not working in the cellar, or serving tasty beer, he is typically outdoors hiking and fishing, playing sports, traveling, finding sweet coffee shops, or spending time with family and friends.
John was a volunteer the very first day we opened our doors and fell in love with craft beer. Already having four years experience bartending, John enjoyed slinging brews behind the bar his first ten months officially being with the team. Upon getting his degree in Sports Management & Business, he moved into a sales role and continued to grow his palate and knowledge in the craft beer world. In his free time, John enjoys trying new brews, cocktails, playing sports, and his being with family and friends.
LAB TECH / BARTENDER
Taylor was born in Tulsa, but was raised in a variety of places, from Montana to Saskatchewan, Canada, eventually settling and growing up in Broken Arrow. While working towards a Biology degree at the University of Central Oklahoma she cultured a love for lab work and bad science puns. After graduating in 2013 she worked as a part time bartender as well as a lab assistant for a school in Oklahoma City. She and her husband eventually decided, after many years away from home, that they should move back to spend more time with their families. They have loved being a part of the Tulsa community ever since.
Taylor loves traveling and learning about different cultures through food and drink, with her favorite destination being Germany. While at home she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two cats, Luna and Hashbrown, as well as renovating their house. Currently she’s back at school studying Mechanical Engineering with the hope of starting graduate school in the Fall of 2019.
BARTENDER / PRODUCTION
David is a native Texan and a recent transplant to Oklahoma. David has dabbled in craft beer for just under a decade. He has a couple of home brews under his belt and has more beer brewing planned for the future. If he isn't in the Cabin Boys taproom, you can find him outside with his family, drinking a beer or smoking his pipe...or both. David is not bound by the oxford comma. In an alternate universe, David has led the national team to win the World Cup on two separate occasions. Presently, he is the Cabin Boys Theologian in Residence.
Grace moved to Tulsa in 2016 after jumping around the US. Originally from the frosty state of Wisconsin, she’s relatively new to the craft beer industry, but it hasn’t kept her back from experiencing all she can with beer and broadening her knowledge. Working in the taproom, Grace thrives off the fast-paced demand and conversing with the people coming through the door. Craft beer has lined up with her passions of local products, doing things yourself, and creating something to be enjoyed. She will be attending OSU in Fall 2018 for Chemical Engineering.
Raygen is a native to this Okie state. After graduating from Northeastern State in 2014, she relocated to Tulsa. Taking a turn from the typical 8-5, Raygen feels the service industry suits her eccentric hosting qualities. For years, she has managed to create a lively culture in a few of Tulsa's favorite restaurants.
In her down time, Raygen is almost always cooking, piddling around the house & loving on her cat Lionel & rabbit Theo. Escaping the city to get lost in nature is an absolute must. She is no stranger to taking a six month hiatus through SE Asia or packing up the car for a long road to explore the states.
Raygen is passionate about the growing local scene Tulsa is offering. This of course includes craft beer!
From the first time he visited the anatomy lab at the OSU medical school, Jeff was hooked on the idea of becoming a doctor. He completed medical school at OU, then surprised even himself by choosing psychiatry as his specialty.
A passion outside of practice has been work with his chainsaws. The iconic cabin of Cabin Boys came forth from this passion which some have said borders on insanity. Jeff points out, though, that none of those who have said this are licensed to make such a diagnosis.
To be a part of the finance and founding of a brewery satisfies his inner drive to do life differently. To do this with family and friends is even sweeter icing on that cake.
