Born in Dallas, Texas, Kirk Thurmond is a singer/songwriter with a distinctive sound that spans several genres, including soul, pop, and R&B, with authenticity remaining at the core.

Kirk’s engaging voice pulls you in while his raw lyrics convey a compelling sense of vulnerability, creating relatable songs that honor the truth and integrity of a musical golden age.

His debut projects Born In The City and Only Love mark the beginning of his continuous pursuit for music that is real and timeless. Kirk's newest writing, set to release in Fall/Winter 2014, furthers this pursuit on a deeper level, pulling inspiration from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Paul McCartney, and Neil Young.
